Epic Life Lesson? No.

I did it! I completed 7 whole days of not going on Facebook. Its sad that I consider this a pretty big achievment. Today was my 8th day and I went on this morning but..........i really didn't miss much. Just stuff I already knew anyway, and other mindless random status updates. But, I didn't experience any "Lifelong reflection learning crap" over my week without FB.

So, what changes will I ensue now? I plan to keep Facebook away from my phone. For now, I am not re-installing the app. It is undecided if I will install it again to have it for Europe. Probably. Although I'd rather be seeing the sights in Europe rather than staring at my phone. I do that enough in America.

I *plan* to check Facebook twice a day. In morning and before bed. Although I predict this probably won't happen.

So, epic life lesson = failed. No hidden epic discovery about who I am. Guess I still need to go to India & meditate under Julia Robert's guide, for that.

Getting Ready....

AH! So even though I am supposed to be studying for my last final and not doing anything else with my time, that is so not what is happening. There's been a lot of sleeping, movie watching, breakfast-going, reading, and checking details on Europe trip!

I just found out I'll be landing in Iceland first as a connecting flight. I wish you could leave the airport and go see Iceland! But I'll have to observe via the windows. But I am so excited!

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and I was thinking about time. It finally sunk in that my best friend's trip to Europe leaves in.....8 days!? And I'll be leaving in 21! During my delusional sleeping half-awake state, I began freaking out. I was like- oh my god. I can't do this. I can't fly alone! I can't find my tour guide! What If I can't find my tour guide? What if my plane crashes! OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO EUROPE.

When I booked the trip earlier this year, it was like.....yeah, I'm going to Europe. I was SUPER excited, but it didn't really feel real. Heck, we had paid the whole sum and it still didn't feel real. I mean, Its something I have wanted for my entire life. Well, as long as I've known what Europe was.  Some of my more fortunate friends have gotten to go with their families as children, or as teenagers, or have gone with school trips, sports teams, with a boyfriend/girlfriend, or with a similar tour group as mine....and I just kept thinking, I want to go! But I never thought I actually could.

I don't think it will feel real until my first step out of the airport. It will be surreal. I have no idea what to expect! super excited.

What the Heck?

I cried three, THREE, times last night during the movie edition of "A Walk to Remember".

I have seen it before and have never cried!

What is this!

Really good movie, though.

I think we cry during movies when we actually have other things to cry about in life and the movie just gives us a really good excuse to cry. Three times. Sometimes the movie reminds you of something/someone and that brings out memories that make you cry. Sometimes the situations the characters are going through are extremely similar to what you are going through or have faced in the past and that makes you cry. Sometimes what the characters go through makes you cry in fear of it happening to you in the future, and you cannot bear the thought.


I have never cried in a movie before. OK maybe I cried in the Notebook. And Nights of Rodanthe.  Oh my god I'm seeing a trend.....


Damn, Nicholas Sparks!! What are you doing to us women??

Some Crazy FUN Times!

So my college sponsored this giant carnival/festival thing Friday night to sort of kick off finals week/fest.  And it just so happened that my magical school MAGICALLY got one of my FAVORITE BANDS EVER to come to the school to do a concert! WHAT!  I stopped by the carnival for a bit and took a couple cool pics before heading over to the concert. By the way, this totally makes up for not posting picture-of-the week for like, a month.



Notice he's on stilts? Climbing a rock wall? Let's just say the police didn't stop him because they were really curious as to what would happen, lol.
